Photographer Sabine Modotti was born in 1967 in Venice, Italy, but lives and works in Berlin since 1999. Actually she has a degree in architecture, but has a true passion for female nude photography since her youth. For nine years Sabine has been signing her work with the pseudonym Aelia, winning prizes and nomination in F.I.A.P. (Federation Internationale de l'Art Photographique) Salons. In this years, Aelias work has been exhibited in Limours(France), Algarve (Portugal). Landernau (France), Herten (Germany), Orleans (France), Barcellona (Spain), Riga (Latvia).
The women love eroticism, the women are the eroticism.
Moving to Berlin (Berlin is the city of the artists of the post-war period) was also the beginning of a new era in her work: studio shoots only, German and Italian friends-models, a lot of light, vivid colours, intimate views resulting in softcore photos of mainly women keeping a certain artsy elegance though reaching the deepest fantasies of the viewer. With these ripe images Sabine Modotti wishes to cross the border between fine art and softcore: the creation of elegant and refined softcore images is possible.
